Nodex Pixels · a live board for the home
A little LED board that always knows when the next one leaves. Glance at it on your way past, put your coat on, and go — instead of unlocking your phone and opening an app in the hallway.
And when you're not commuting, it's the weather, the tide at your beach, or the time where your family lives.

What it shows
Everything is picked in a web page from your phone — no reflashing, no soldering, nothing to reinstall. Change it as often as you like.
Live departures from your stop, in the real line colour, counting down. Trains about to leave light up so you know whether to run.
Oak Grove · 1 min · 7 min · 13 min
Your area — or anywhere you name. A big “now” with the next few hours, or an hour-by-hour list. °C or °F, mph or km/h.
Now 11° · 15:00 13° · 18:00 9°
Up to six places at once, ticking live. For the people you'd otherwise wake up at four in the morning.
London 17:42 · Sydney 02:42 · Boston 12:42
The day's tide curve for a coastal spot you pick — the board finds the nearest tide station. For swimmers, surfers and dog walkers.
High 06:14 · Low 12:31 · High 18:47
Every UK National Rail station is searchable by name or CRS code, and you can filter to one platform or only trains heading to a particular destination. New networks are added on our side — they appear in your picker without you touching the unit.
Out of the box
There's nothing to install and no account to create. If you've ever set up a smart plug, you've already done this.
Power it over USB-C. It wakes up on a calm setup screen — no blinking lights to decode.
In your phone's WiFi settings, connect to the open network Transit-Setup. A setup page opens by itself.
If it doesn't pop up, visit http://192.168.4.1.
Pick your network from the list, type the password, tap Save. It restarts and connects.
2.4 GHz works best. Your phone drops the setup network at this point — that's expected.
Once it's online, the board shows a six-character code and the address transit.nodexdevices.com.
The code lasts five minutes and refreshes itself — nothing to rush.
On any phone or computer, open transit.nodexdevices.com, enter the code, choose your screen and tap Save. The board catches up within a minute. Done.
It remembers your board, so changing it later needs no new code.
Living with it
A departure board is perfect at eight in the morning and pointless at nine at night. So it doesn't have to stay the same all day.
Give it a timetable — by weekday and weekend, or day by day — and it follows it. Anything you haven't scheduled falls back to the clock, so it never just goes blank on you.
Turn on rotation and it flips between your chosen screens every few seconds — trains, then weather, then the tide. Brightness follows your local sunrise and sunset, so it's readable at breakfast and calm at midnight.
